We, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote:

The inherent worth and dignity of every person
Justice, equity, and compassion in human relations
Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations
A free and responsible search for truth and meaning
The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large
The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all
Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

We, the congregation of the Universalist-Unitarian Church of Waterville, Maine, honoring our liberal religious heritage and acknowledging our presence in Waterville since 1826, affirm the value of:

        - Individuals and their unique journeys of personal and spiritual growth,
        - A community that welcomes children and adults to an extended family with social as well as
          religious life,
        - Worship that brings together tradition and ritual with creative contributions from our diverse
          congregation,
        - Service beyond self as a means of expressing our religious convictions, and
        - Self-governance in our life together as a congregation in keeping with the tradition of our
          denomination.
