Ad Hoc By-laws 
Reviews church by-laws and recommends changes where there are inconsistencies or ambiguities; makes recommendations to the Board of Trustees who bring recommended changes before the congregation for a vote.

Archives 
Collects, preserves and archives primary sources that record the history of our church and those organizations which were our church’s predecessors. Organizes these records so that information on the church’s history is readily obtained.

Caring Committee 
Supports church members who are in need of either emotional or financial assistance.

Communications Committee 
Produces and publicizes various forms of church communication, i.e., Order of Worship inserts, e-blasts,Point newsletter articles, Face Book postings and church website announcements.

Evening Sandwich Program (ESP) 
Provides evening meals for the hungry in the greater Waterville area.

Facebook 
Informs Face Book users who we are and what we are doing; keeps the church's Face Book page up-to-date with events, church services and activities.

Fellowship 
Helps members of the congregation create fellowship opportunities. Recruits greeters for Sunday services. Encourages members and friends of the church to form groups and generate activities.

Finance 
Manages the finances under the authority of the Board. Analyzes and develops budgets/accounts for all expenses, revenues and assets of the church. Assists in preparing information for monthly report to the Board.

Fundraising 
Brainstorms ideas for fundraising events.

Gardening 
Weeds and prunes flowering plants and shrubs alongside the church entrances and at the “point”. Thins older plants, replants as needed. Mulches flower beds as needed.

Green Sanctuary 
Builds awareness of environmental issues among congregational members and the community. Generates commitment for personal lifestyle changes. Motivates church members to community action on environmental issues. Incorporates environmental issues into our spiritual practices. Builds awareness of environmental injustices.

Hospitality 
Recruits and schedules volunteers to bring snacks each Sunday; maintains supply of staples like coffee, sugar and teabags

Housekeeping 
Keeps housekeeper supplied with what she needs. Addresses household concerns made by church members

Information Technology (IT) 
Oversees the computer hardware and software in the church as well as other technological equipment.

Investment Management 
Accounts for the investment accounts of the Church. Reports to the Treasurer and Board. Moves money in and out of accounts at the direction of the Board.

Music 
Provides inspirational music for services and special occasions, expands the repertoire of music offerings and encourages participation by congregants

Newsletter [The Point] 
Publicizes information among church members, promotes membership to visitors, and serves as a historical record of what our church does.

Nominating 
Considers and presents nominations for the elective offices of the church. Advises the Board of Trustees for filling vacancies at all levels of church leadership through the year

Nursery 
Provides environment whereby young children and toddlers are comfortable with caregivers and peers while parents attend services

Pledge Drive
Fund Raising Oversight Oversees and encourages monetary contributions to the church each fiscal year so that an annual budget can be created.

Property & Grounds 
Maintains church building and property. Formulates budget, responds to requests by the Board about projects. Organizes work parties to accomplish routine/recurring maintenance work; executes and directs major projects

Religious Education
Plans curriculum for the religious education classes.

Safety 
Addresses and resolves concerns in the church building or church community that involve safety in its broadest sense.

Sustainability 
Works closely with Green Sanctuary Committee on ways to make the church and the community a “greener” place.

Welcoming Congregation 
Promotes acceptance, inclusion, understanding and equity of persons of diverse sexual orientation and gender identity.

Worship 
Plans and implements worship services when the minister is not in the pulpit. Assists minister with special services. Prepares the sanctuary for worship services
