Rev. Meg has come to Waterville from Littleton, Massachusetts where she was most recently both the part-time Affiliate Minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Wakefield, Massachusetts and the Coordinator of Congregational Care at the Hancock Church – a United Church of Christ congregation – in Lexington, Massachusetts. Prior to her appointments in Wakefield and Lexington, she served for two years as Interim Associate Minister in The First Parish in Cambridge, Massachusetts – a Unitarian Universalist church.
Rev. Meg earned masters degrees in Pastoral Ministry and Religious Education and in Clinical Social Work/Child Welfare from Boston College. She also completed a Master of Divinity in World Religions and Ministry at the Andover-Newton Seminary in Newton, Massachusetts in 2005.
Rev. Meg has indicated that working in two churches at the same time – just before she came to Waterville – provided her with a great opportunity to see how churches differ in their approaches. She also acknowledges that her study of World Religions has broadened her perspective and helped her see the importance of working with clergy from various faith traditions.
At UU Waterville, Rev. Meg has been active in integrating members of the congregation into worship and she supports our efforts in the areas of Religious Education, reaching out to new members and friends by creating welcoming spaces, organizing our spaces and governance practices, and welcoming all members of our community either through worship or community engagement.
Rev. Meg can be reached during Office Hours on Tuesdays 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Wednesdays 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. or
Thursdays 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or by appointment.
