UUDDs (dinner discussion groups) are a way to enjoy delicious food in a relaxed, home environment. UUDD group members bring something to the potluck, generally dishes prearranged through email or discussion (someone offers to bring appetizers, dessert, main dish, salad, etc.). Dinners take place in the home of a member, generally on a rotating basis. Much depends on what each group determines is best for them. Sometimes the discussion centers on a pre-agreed topic, but other times dinner conversations or topics are impromptu. Meetings are typically held monthly, and are most successful with a set date (first Friday, second Saturday, etc.). Sometimes, when members are unable to make it, others may be invited to join for an evening as guests. UUDDs are a way to get to know people, deepen relationships with other members and friends.
